Battery Safety Terminal

SITUATION

The Battery Safety Terminal (SBK) has blown and/or the battery terminal is overheated and/or FC 9AFF (High resistance in the SBK firing circuit) is stored in the Center Satelite (SFZ).

CAUSE

Battery terminal has worked loose because it was not adequately tightened when the battery switch was removed.

CORRECTION

[NEW] When removing the battery switch at QC1, be sure to tighten the battery nut to the correct torque (Repair instruction 61.21...). At the time of writing, this torque is specified as 15 Nm.

For customer complaints:

Inspect/replace the Battery Safety Terminal (SBK) as necessary. Tighten the battery nut to the correct torque.
