CCC Radio Station RDS Information Missing After Programming
MODEL
E90, E91, E92 (3 Series) with CCC - Navigation SA 609 E60, E61 (5 Series) with CCC - Navigation SA 609 E63, E64 (6 Series)
Vehicles produced up to August 30, 2006
SITUATION
The customer states that radio station RDS (Radio Data System) information is missing after programming. This can be key specific.
CAUSE
CCC (Car Communication Computer) error
PROCEDURE
Do not replace any parts.
In case of a customer complaint perform the following procedure:
1. Obtain both keys from the customer.
2. Unlock the vehicle using Key 1. Insert the key into the ignition lock and turn ignition on.
3. Code the complete vehicle per SI B09 05 01 (Coding, Individualization, Programming) PROCEDURE E using Progman V23.00.00 or higher.
4. After coding is completed, remove the key, lock the vehicle using Key 1 and wait for the vehicle to enter sleep mode (after approximately 15 minutes).
5. Unlock the vehicle using Key 2. Insert the key into the ignition lock and turn ignition on.
6. Code the complete vehicle per SI B09 05 01 (Coding, Individualization, Programming) Procedure E using Progman V23.00.00 or higher.
7. After coding is completed, remove the key, lock the vehicle using Key 2 and wait for the vehicle to enter sleep mode (after approximately 15 minutes).
8. Check the RDS system with each key to ensure proper functionality. RDS can be turned on/off within the FM menu of the CID.
