SUBJECT
SGM FC 9413 "Signal Lamp Airbag Deactivation"

MODEL
E60 (5 Series)

SITUATION
The airbag warning lamp in the instrument cluster lights up and the Passenger airbag malfunction warning appears in the Control Display. Fault code 9413 is stored in the Safety Gateway Module (SGM).

CAUSE
Airbag warning lamp faulty or faulty connection

PROCEDURE
Check cables and plug connections, work through the test module. Replace the passenger airbag status lamp and clear the fault memory.
