E65/E66 (7 Series): Noises only in radio mode and/or radio cuts out.

Complaint
Crackling noises can be heard only in radio mode and/or radio stations intermittently cutting out.

This situation is not to be confused with noises caused by a MOST-bus reset. A MOST-bus reset causes the ACCEPT screen to be displayed.

Cause
Software error in the radio tuner.

Measure
Do not replace any parts!
A software update for the radio tuner per CIP will be available in March 2004.
