SUBJECT
Battery Discharged by Lamp Module

MODEL
E65, E66 (7 Series) produced February 26, 2004 to April 18, 2004

SITUATION
Battery discharged, vehicle will not start.

CAUSE
The Lamp Module (LM) sends an incorrect bulb status message to the power module (PM) (i.e. bulbs on even though they are off). The Power Module (PM) is then unable to disconnect and the battery is discharged

PROCEDURE
Code the LM using CIP V 11.2 or a more recent version. Refer to SI B09 05 01 (Coding, Individualization and Programming) procedure.
