Replacing Rubber Mounts on Both Control Arms


Caution!
Always replace rubber mounts on left and right.
If a bracket has a center punch on marking (1), no more rubber mounts must be pressed into this bracket. Secure seating of rubber mount is no longer guaranteed.
Bracket must be replaced!





Remove bracket for control arm.
Press rubber mount out of bracket using special tool 31 2 131/133.





Check installation location.
Nub/arrow (2) on rubber mount points to marking (1) on bracket.
Remove grease from bracket and rubber mount.





Marking (1) points upwards.
Press in rubber mount with special tools 31 2 131/133.
Protrusion (A) must be the same on both sides.

Caution!
Mark bracket next to marking (1) (see Fig. above) with a center punch.
