Radiator Cooling Fan: Service and Repair

17 11 031 - Removing and installing/replacing fan cowl with electric fan





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit

- Switch off ignition

- Remove intake duct





Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Unclip cable from fan cowl.
N46: Unclip line at fan cowl.





Lift out expansion rivet (1).
Release screw (2).
Remove fan cowl (3) towards top.





Note:
Now clear the fault memory.
