The 6 speed manual transmission in the (E83) X3 SAV and E53 MU was previously used in series production.
The transmission designation is GS6X37BZ (Hgearbox) with the M54 engine.
Modifications have been made to the external gearshift mechanism as well as the output shaft and tail housing to accommodate the ATC 400/500 transfer case.
