INFORMATION
Prior to the introduction of panoramic sunroof Teileclearing (TC) on 8/4/08, if a panoramic sunroof had any mechanical failure, the complete sunroof cassette could be replaced.

Currently, several repair kits and associated repair instructions are available. Therefore, for most failure modes, the sunroof may be repaired, as opposed to being replaced.

Each panoramic sunroof has a conceptually similar design, but each uses unique parts due to minor design or dimensional differences.

In general, the panoramic sunroof has 3 sets of moving parts which move on 3 independent rails within the cassette.

These consist of:

- Front glass panel mechanism

- Rear glass panel mechanism

- Sun shade mechanism

These 3 moving sets of parts may be replaced independently or in combination with each other.

When troubleshooting mechanical failures within the cassette, it's often helpful to identify the damaged component and the kit which contains it.

To determine which parts are needed for repairs, you may refer to the attached repair kit content files. Each of these kits is referenced in the Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC), but since EPC uses generic illustrations, the attached photos may help clarify exactly which kit is needed for a particular repair.

If it is still unclear which parts need to be replaced, a TC case may be submitted for additional technical support.

TC authorization is required to replace a complete panoramic sunroof. Replacing a sunroof cassette without TC authorization will result in a delayed or denied claim payment.
