Removing And Installing/Replacing Rubber Frame For Windshield (top)
CAUTION:
Rubber frame is reinforced with an aluminum strip.
Do not damage windshield when removing rubber frame.
Carefully turn and remove rubber frame (1).

NOTE: When rubber frame (1) is removed, lip (2) tears off and remains in car.
Removing and installing windshield:
Tear-off lip (2) on new rubber frame (1) must not be damaged.
If the tear-off lip (2) is damaged, the rib (3) will stick and the rubber frame (1) will not be able to be removed without major damage.
Removing and installing rubber frame (1):
Cut through tear-off lip (2) on new rubber frame (1). If adhesive has reached rib (3) through tear-off lip (2), this area must be cut out partially.
To facilitate installation, coat rubber frame and body cutout with turpentine substitute.
