Electronic Chassis Alignment With Ride Height Input

32 00 155 Electronic chassis alignment with ride height input

Special tools required:
^ 32 4 150

Note:
^ Read and comply with General information and definitions.
^ Read and comply with General chassis definition.
^ Read and comply with More detailed information on chassis alignment system (Beissbarth).

^ Check compliance with test conditions, bring vehicle to a stop if necessary.
^ If necessary, prepare lifting platform.
^ Drive vehicle onto lifting platform.
^ If necessary, switch on chassis alignment system.
^ Enter vehicle data and customer data.
^ Enter tire pressure and tread depth.
^ Measure and enter ride height.
^ Attach quick-clamping holder/quick-clamping unit and pickup to vehicle.
^ If necessary, attach spoiler adapter.
^ Install brake tensioner.
^ Perform input measurement in accordance with equipment manufacturer's instructions.

Version with active front steering (AFS):
^ Connect vehicle to diagnosis tester.
^ In "Service Functions / Chassis / Steering / Active Front Steering" select the item "AFS Start-up / Adjustment".
^ Set summation steering angle on power steering gear to "zero".
^ Fit special tool 32 4 150 for securing active front steering (AFS) power steering gear (see Assembly and installation instructions).

Important: Once the special tool 32 4 150 for active front steering (AFS) power steering gear has been fitted, the summation steering angle must still be set to "zero"!

^ Check summation steering angle, reposition special tool 32 4 150 if necessary.
^ Compare specified values with actual values.
^ If necessary, adjust front axle and rear axle.

Version with active front steering (AFS):
^ Reset motor position angle
^ Carry out steering angle sensor adjustment
^ Carry out adjustment of cumulative steering angle sensor.
^ Remove special tool 32 4 150.

Version without active front steering (AFS):
^ Carry out steering angle sensor adjustment

Version with active cruise control (ACC):
^ Carry out find adjustment with BMW diagnosis system.

^ Perform output measurement in accordance with equipment manufacturer's instructions.
^ Carry out steering angle sensor adjustment
^ Save and print out test record.
^ Remove chassis alignment system.
^ Drive vehicle off lifting platform.
