Complaint

When the customer pairs additional Bluetooth handsets to the vehicle the phonebook is not available in the vehicle.

Cause

The first handset that was paired to the vehicle has not finished loading the phonebook completely.

Measure

Do not replace any parts.

After the first handset is paired to the vehicle wait until the phonebook is completely downloaded.

The first phonebook download for a new mobile phone can take up to 20 minutes if the phonebook is full. If this download is interrupted by switching the ignition off and on again the process restarts.

Once the phonebook has been completely downloaded for the first time and the vehicle has then entered sleep mode the phonebook will be available immediately the next time the phone is switched on. Additional handsets can then be paired and used in the vehicle.
