54 31 155 Removing And Installing/Replacing All Window Guides On Right And Left Of Convertible Top







Open convertible top slightly.
Pull window guides/convertible cover seals out of securing rail.

NOTE: When removing on both sides, mark seals as right and left.

Installation:
Install sealing lip (1) towards top.
If the seals (above all the middle seal) can be moved too easily, secure them at one point with fast-action adhesive (sourcing reference: BMW Parts Service).







Unfasten screws.
16AZ Window run to convertible top frame
M5 5.1 Nm
Carefully remove securing rail of window guide and note number of shims.

NOTE: When removing on both sides, mark securing rails as right and left.

Installation:
Reinstall same number of shims in same position (wind noises, leakage).
