Removing and Installing/ Replacing B-pillar Sensor (build date from 01/2006)


Warning!
Note airbag safety instructions!
Incorrect handling can activate airbag and cause injury.



Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead and cover, Service and Repair.
- Remove front left entrance cover strip, Service and Repair.
- Remove rear left lower side trim section, Service and Repair
- Press floor lining to one side.

Release screws (1).



Tightening Torque, 65 77 5AZ.

Disconnect plug connection (2) and remove B-Pillar Sensor.


Replacement:
Carry out coding/ programming.
Observer following IDC specifications:
- Programming
- Coding
- Car & Key Memory
- CD "CIP"
