Removal and Installing/ Replacing Fixture for Steering Column Stalk






Warning!
Do not under any circumstances twist the cover (1) out of its centered position against the fixture for the steering column stalk (2).
When removed, the cover (1) of the fixture for the steering column stalk (2) is secured against turning/twisting by the lock (3).

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead. Instructions For Disconnecting and Connecting Battery
- Remove steering wheel. Removing and Replacing Steering Wheel
- Remove steering column cover. Removing and Installing/Replacing Upper Section of Steering Column Cover and Removing and Installing/Replacing Lower Section of Steering Column Cover





Release screws (1).

Pull back fixture for steering column stalk (2).

Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.

Remove fixture for steering column stalk (2).

Replacement:
Remove turn indicator/headlight dipping stalk. Removing and Installing/ Replacing Turn Indicator/ Headlight Dipping Switch
Remove stalk for windshield wipers. Removing and Installing/ Replacing Switch For Windscreen Wipers
