51 11 000 Removing And Installing Front Bumper Completely (Coupe)







Removing trim on fog lamp:
Snap out catches (1) on grill (2) towards bottom and pull out towards front a little.
Lever out catch (3) with angled screwdriver and detach trim completely towards front.







Installation:
Catches (1) on trim (2) must not be damaged.







Unfasten left/right screws (1).







Release left/right screws (1).
Remove side wheel arch trims (2).







Release screws (1) on impact absorber on left/right.

Installation:
2AZ Bumper and bracket to impact absorber
M10 41 Nm







Pull bumper back a little.
Disconnect plug connection (1) for fanfare horn on left/right.

Version with fog lamps:
If necessary, disconnect plug connection (2) for fog lamps on left/right.
Remove bumper (3).







Installation:
Height of bumper is adjusted by turning hexagon socket head screw (1) on impact absorber (2).







Ideal adjustment:
Gap (A) should be uniform along the full length between bumper and aperture in body.
Dimension (A) = 5 ± 1 mm
