SUBJECT
Vehicle Cannot Be Identified by Progman

MODEL
E46 (3 Series) from September 2001 production

SITUATION
When an E46 (3 Series) with a vehicle order is connected to Progman, the following error message is displayed:

"Vehicle of L20 model series cannot be handled with Progman. Terminate program. Further information can be obtained from Technical Market Support."

CAUSE
The vehicle order in the instrument cluster (KOMBI) and light switching center (LSZ) is missing.

PROCEDURE
On vehicles produced prior to March 2006 (time criterion < 03/06), contact the Technical Hotline via PuMA and request a vehicle order (XML file). The vehicle order can be entered manually with the workaround described in the attachment B090607VO_Adaptation_Procedure.

On vehicles produced after March 2006 (time criterion >= 03/06), contact the Technical Hotline via PuMA for further support.
