Fog/Driving Lamp: Service and Repair

63 17 060 - Removing and installing (replacing) left or right front fog lamp





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove front underbody protection Removing and Installing/Replacing Front Underbody Protection





Release screws (1).
Remove fog lamp wheel arch cover (2).





Build date up to 09/07:
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Release screws (2). Tightening torque 63 17 1AZ [1][2]Fog/Driving Lamp.
Feed fog lamp (3) in direction of arrow out of mounting (4) and remove.





Build date after 09/07:

Note:
Bumper trim shown removed for purposes of clarity.

Disconnect associated plug connection.
Left fog lamp: Partially remove wheel arch cover Service and Repair in area of fluid reservoir for windscreen washer unit. Insert a suitable tool between fluid reservoir for windscreen washer unit and bumper trim.
Release screw (1). Tightening torque 63 17 1AZ [1][2]Fog/Driving Lamp.
Feed fog lamp (2) in direction of arrow out of mountings (3) and remove.

Installation:
Guides (4) of fog lamp (2) must first be fed into mountings (3).
Guide pin (5) must be correctly seated in fog lamp bore (2).





Replacement:
If necessary, remove bulb Service and Repair.
Adjust front fog lamps Adjustments.
