SUBJECT
CCC with Top HiFi Loses Surround Sound after Navigation Announcement

MODEL
E90, E91 (3 Series) with SA 609 CCC Navigation

E60, E61 (5 Series) with SA 609 CCC Navigation

E63, E64 (6 Series)

Vehicles equipped with SA 677 (Top HiFi only)

Vehicles produced from March 1, 2006 or older vehicles programmed with Progman V21.x or later.

SITUATION
The customer has surround sound activated via the CID (Central Information Display) 5th menu in the Entertainment settings. The surround sound setting is deactivated after the first navigation voice instruction when route guidance is activated. In concert hall mode the changeover is hardly noticeable, but in theatre mode, there is a light crackling noise that is heard.

Audio system CCC (Car Communication Computer) software

NEW PROCEDURE
1. On a customer complaint basis only, update the complete vehicle per SI B09 05 01 (Coding, Individualization, Programming) Procedure B:
- E60, E61, E63, E64 use Progman V23.00.00 (Target Data Status E060-06-09-520) or higher.
- E90, E91 use Progman V22.02.00 (Target Data Status E089x-06-06-540) or higher.
