SUBJECT
Check Control Message "Rollover Protection Fault"

MODEL
E64 (6 Series)

SITUATION

The customer complains of check control message "Rollover Protection Fault" in CID (Central Information Display). Fault code 9425 (Serial cable to satellite, vehicle center) is stored in the SGM (Safety Gateway Module).

CAUSE

Software / Faulty wiring or connectors / Faulty SFZ (Vehicle Safety Satellite) / Faulty SGM.

CORRECTION

Follow the test plan in DIS. Correct any faults that are identified.

If fault frequency is (1), fault is not currently present, and no other faults are identified, then delete the fault code (do not replace parts).
