SUBJECT
Linked Sequence Calls Fail on Bluetooth & CPT9000 Handsets
MODEL
E60, E61 (5 Series) from 11/03 to 8/05 with Navigation (SA609)
E63, E64 (6 Series) from 11/03 to 8/05 with Navigation (SA609)
E90 (3 Series) from 3/05 to 8/05 with Navigation (SA609)
SITUATION
When placing a hands free call with linked sequences (voicemail, passwords, etc.), the call fails.
The "p" (pause) changes to number when the telephone number is dialed and then the call fails.
Example as shown.
CAUSE
A software error in the Car Communication Computer (CCC).
PROCEDURE
For all vehicles, on a customer complaint basis only, refer to the following procedure:
Update the complete vehicle per SI B09 05 01 (Coding, Individualization, Programming) Procedure B using CIP 19.01.00 (Target Data Status E060-05-09-530 or E089-05-09-530) or higher.
