Transmission Mode Switch: Service and Repair

61 31 287 - Removing and installing/replacing dynamic driving switch (Sport button)





Special tools required:
- 64 1 020 64 1 020 Release Hook





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove trim for preselector lever





Release screws (1).
If necessary, lever out actuation trim (4) with special tool 64 1 020 64 1 020 Release Hook and remove.
Remove driving dynamics switch (2) in direction of arrow from finisher for preselector lever (3).





Version with automatic sport transmission:
Unlock catches (1).
Remove Sport button (2) in direction of arrow from trim for preselector lever (3).

Installation:
Make sure Sport button (2) is correctly seated on trim for preselector lever (3).
