Fuel system E65, E66 N73/N73TU





Introduction
> N73
The fuel system (N62 engine) has been slightly modified for the E65 with N73 engine to adapt it to the new direct injection system.

The N73TU satisfies the legal emissions limits, e.g. Euro 4 standard for Europe or LEV II for the USA (LEV: Low Emission Vehicle).
Measures on the fuel system:
- Leakage and ventilation lines made of polyamide (previously rubber hoses)
- All connections on the low-pressure system with quick-release couplings.

Brief description of components
The fuel system consists of the following new/modified components:

- Electric fuel pump
The electric fuel pump supplies the two high-pressure pumps with fuel.
- Fuel filter with pressure regulator and leakage filter
The fuel filter with pressure regulator controls the fuel pressure in the feed line.
- Fuel return line
- Fuel evaporation control valve
- Activated carbon filter
- Fuel tank leakage diagnosis module
- Roll-over cut-off valve
- Fuel expansion tank
- Dust filter
- Service ventilation
- Pressure check line
- Fuel evaporation control valve
- Service vent valve
- Non-return flap
- Fuel tank
- Surge chamber
- Pressure limiter valve
- Scavenger pumps
- Flow-out protection valve
- Refuelling ventilation
