Subject
While placing a hands-free call with a Bluetooth handset the call ends after 30 seconds

Complaint

The customer complains that when placing a hands-free call with a Bluetooth handset and no-one answers within 30 seconds the call is ended.

Vehicles Affected:
All 2005 MY vehicles with BMW ASSIST with Integrated Bluetooth

Cause

The TCU has a 30 second timer built in to end the call without a connection

Measure

Do not replace any parts. This is considered a normal characteristic of this system.

* For the following vehicles only:
E60 (5 Series) up to 3/05
E63/64 (6 Series) up to 3/05*
