51 33 ... Slightly loosen power window regulator to remove door lock in left or right front door







Special tools required:
- 51 3 190







NOTE: To remove door lock, move rear section of sound insulation (1) toward centre.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Partly remove sound insulation from front door.







Raise side window glass to dimension (A).
Dimension (A) is the distance between the window cavity cover strip and upper edge of the side window glass.

For E90/E91:
Measurement (A) = 310 mm

E87:
Measurement (A) = 225 mm







Insert special tool 51 3 190 into designated opening (1) of side window glass (2)
Unlock side window glass (2) from rear part of power window regulator (3) in direction of arrow.

NOTE: Avoid damaging the paint finish.(Risk of corrosion)







Unscrew nuts (1).
Remove rear part of power window regulator (2) and place down on door floor.
Tightening torque: 51 33 1AZ
