SUBJECT
Remote Key Sticks In/Falls Out of CAS Holder

MODEL
E90 (3 Series)

SITUATION
The customer complains that the remote key gets stuck in CAS (Car Access System) Holder, or the remote key falls out of the CAS Holder.

CAUSE
Mechanical defect with CAS Holder.

CORRECTION
In case of a customer complaint, verify that the fault concerns only the mechanical characteristics of the CAS Holder by checking that the vehicle ignition and starting functions work correctly with the key held in the CAS Holder (If necessary, hold the key in place by hand to complete this check).

If the key passes this check, replace the CAS Holder.
