Active Cruise Control II (ACC II) Adjustment Test Plan Error
MODEL
E65 and E66 (7 Series) 750i and 750Li produced from 3/2005 and later
SITUATION
The Active Cruise Control II (ACC II) Adjustment Test Plan is not possible using DIS CD 42.0 and later.
CAUSE
An Automatic Vehicle Identification error occurs with DIS/GT1 CD 42.0 and later software. This error will be corrected in the release of DIS/GT1 CD 45.0.
PROCEDURE
Vehicles equipped with the N62TU engine require manual identification prior to connecting the diagnostic head to the vehicle. The vehicle will need to identified manually as a 650Ci equipped with the 62TU Engine.
Manual Identification Procedure (Diagnostic Head disconnected):
1. Select "6 series and E63" then arrow to the right
2. Select "Cancel" in the dialog box
3. Is battery voltage OK? Select "OK"
4. The diagnosis connection is not OK? Select "OK"
5. Type of vehicle identification? Select "Manual"
6. Select "650Ci, USA LHD and 2005_9".
7. When the vehicle identification screen appears without a VIN number displayed connect the Diagnostic Head to the vehicle. Wait for the Diagnostic Head to establish a connection to the diagnostic device before proceeding to the desired Test Plan.
8. Select the "right arrow" and "Function Selection".
9. Select "Service Functions"
10. Select "Chassis"
11. Select "Cruise Control (ACC)"
12. Select "Adjust ACC Sensor"
13. Select "Test Plan" and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the Test Plan.
