SUBJECT
N73-Check Engine Lamp Illuminated with Various Misfire Faults Stored, or Engine Runs Rough

MODEL
E65, E66 (7 Series) Equipped with N73 12 Cylinder Engine

SITUATION
Customer complains that the vehicle's check engine lamp is illuminated. When diagnosed, the vehicle stores various misfire faults or the vehicle runs rough or poorly. Upon disassembly of the engine, it has been found that the intake valves may have carbon deposits.

CAUSE
Under Investigation

PROCEDURE
Do not disassemble Engine. Please submit a PuMA Case to the Drivetrain Technical Hotline before proceeding with any repairs.
