Notes on function
The main control module for the central-locking system function is the Car Access System, CAS. It receives the signals of the remote control and the switch and sends the commands for locking and unlocking across the K-CAN to the door modules and the body base module.
The central-locking drives for the front doors are activated by each of the door modules. An additional lock contact is connected at the door module of the driver's door.
The central-locking drives for the rear doors and the fuel filler door are activated by the body base module.
States of the central-locking system
- Unlocked: Door can be opened from the outside and inside
- Locked: Door can only be opened from the inside (pull door handle twice).
- Armed: Door can be opened neither from the outside nor from the inside.
The "Arm" function is only run if:
- the ignition is switched off
- after switching off the ignition the driver's or passenger's door have been opened and closed
Fuel filler door
The fuel filler door is locked when the central-locking drives have been activated for "Arm".
