41 62 043 - Removing and installing/replacing left or right hinge for rear lid





Read contents of Body, General Service Precautions.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear lid Service and Repair
- Remove gas-filled shock absorber Service and Repair





Note:
Rear window shelf has been blanked out for purposes of clarity.

Release screw connections (1) on vehicle.

Remove hinge.

Installation:
Adjust rear lid on the basis of the E63 body gap dimensions.
