SUBJECT
Air Conditioning Compressor Does Not Switch On

MODEL
E60, E61 (5 Series)
E63, E64 (6 Series)

Vehicles produced from February 28, 2007

SITUATION
The customer states that the air conditioning does not cool.

[NEW] IHKA (Integrated Heating and Air Conditioning) fault "9C6A compressor coupling" is stored.

CAUSE
Loose ground connection at compressor

PROCEDURE
Do not replace any parts.

[NEW] Check the ground cable connection on the compressor.

[NEW] If the ground connection is not loose, continue troubleshooting the fault stored in the system, using the diagnostic test plan.
