Special tools required:
- 00 9 317 00 9 317 Trim Panel Wedge





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove mirror glass Replacing Mirror Glass





Note:
Retaining ring (1) and housing (2) are engaged against each other in area (A).





Release catch (1) and carefully snap housing (2) forwards out of retaining ring (3).
If necessary, use special tool 00 9 317 00 9 317 Trim Panel Wedge as an aid.





Installation:
Catches (1 to 3) must not be damaged.
