SUBJECT
Paint Peeling from PDC Sensor

MODEL
E70 (X5), E83 (X3) vehicles produced September 1, 2006 to February 22, 2007

SITUATION
Paint partly or fully peels from the PDC (Park Distance Control) sensors. In the case of partial paint peeling or blistering, this may interfere with the operation of the PDC system.

CAUSE
Faulty painting process of PDC sensor. Stocks were cleared August 2007

CORRECTION
In case of a customer complaint, replace all the PDC sensors on the affected bumper.
