Squeaking Noises from the Seat Frame

[NEW] SITUATION

Squeaking noises may be heard from the seat bottom or seat frame during load reversal, such as when driving around corners, braking, accelerating or when leaning back against the backrest.

[NEW] CAUSE

Play in the bearing points of the seat mechanism

[NEW] INFORMATION

The problem has been integrated into ISTA diagnostics. Follow the diagnosis test plan using the latest ISTA version. The test plan "B5210_L2SIMECH1 - Front Seat" can be found under:

"Activities/Information search/Function structure/Body/Mechanism, noise, optical element, leaks/Noises/Front seat". For information on NED (Non - electric Diagnosis) test plans, refer to SI B07 03 10.

Refer to ISTA diagnosis for the required repair procedure.
