Soft Top Compartment Lid Lock

Customer complaint
After opening or closing the soft top, the control LED flashes continuously. The sensor system detects an unlocked soft top compartment lid. A fault is not entered in the memory.

Check
Carry out the following check on both sides as shown in the graphic:
- Open the soft top completely
- Push back the linkage exit flap and grip the soft top compartment lid
- Attempt to raise the soft top compartment lid







Repair
If the soft top compartment lid can be raised, carry out the following steps:
- Open the soft top compartment lid using the button
- Check the Bowden cable and operating lever

If they are OK, carry out the following repair:
Mount the plastic cap (2) on the operating lever (1) as shown in the graphic.
The plastic cap has the part number 7219122.
