Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead Disconnecting and Connecting Battery Negative Lead
- Remove central trim for instrument panel 51 45 314 - Removing and installing/replacing center (bottom) instrument panel trim





Release screws (1).
Pull CIC (2) forwards a little.
Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.
Remove CIC (2).

Installation Note:
Make sure CIC (2) is correctly seated in guide lugs (3).





Replacement:
- Remove front panel Removing and Installing/Replacing Front Trim for Car Infotainment Computer
- Carry out vehicle programming and coding Programming and Relearning
