Power Trunk / Liftgate Lock Switch: Service and Repair

51 24 145 - Removing and installing/replacing button for rear lid actuation





Special tools required:
- 00 9 323 00 9 323 Cleaning Wedge (Scraper)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove panel for rear lid .





If necessary, disconnect plug connection in rear lid.
Move special tool 00 9 323 00 9 323 Cleaning Wedge (Scraper) under front edge of button (1) and lever out button (1).
Pull button (1) out of rear lid (2).





Pull off clip (1) and remove microswitch (2). Pull off seal (3).

Installation:
Seal (3) must be undamaged and button must be correctly snapped into place.
Perform function check with trunk lid open.
