SUBJECT
Intermittently, the Rear Doors Do Not Lock

MODEL
E60, E61 (5 Series) produced up to August 31, 2007

SITUATION
After the vehicle is parked for a long period, the central locking system intermittently does not lock the rear doors when using the center lock button or, if "lock after driving" is active, when pulling away. The locking works correctly when using the key.

CAUSE
Software error

[NEW] CORRECTION
The problem has been integrated into ISTA diagnostics. Follow "system-oriented" diagnostics and the relevant test plan using the latest ISTA version.
