SUBJECT
CHAMP: Intermittently No Audio Output in FM Mode Only After Restart

* Only with option 663 RADIO BMW PROFESSIONAL (CHAMP head unit)

SITUATION
After a vehicle restart there is intermittently no audio output in FM mode only.

All other audio sources function normally.

Normal operation is resumed after vehicle has entered sleep mode, or radio mode is switched to AM mode.

CAUSE
Software error in the radio part of the CHAMP head unit.

CORRECTION
Do not replace parts!

Program the vehicle with Progman V27.1.

Refer to SI B09 05 01 - Coding, Individualization and Programming, Procedure B.

Note that Progman will automatically reprogram all programmable control units that do not have the latest software.

Please refer to the latest KSD for all applicable labor operations and allowances.

If the appropriate labor operation is not contained in KSD, then a work time labor operation should be used.
