37 22 750 - Replacing compressor for air supply unit





Warning!
Risk of damage!
Extreme cleanliness must be ensured in the connection area of the pressure and suction lines during removal and installation. Even the smallest of dirt particles can cause leakage in the air spring system.





Important!
To prevent premature failure of the air supply unit, it is essential to replace the air supply unit relay Removing and Installing/Replacing Air Supply Unit Relay as well!
Do not kink, twist or crush pressure and suction lines.

Note:
Read and comply with notes on air spring system Notes on Air Spring System.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
Remove battery compartment cover from floor plate.





Disconnect plug connection (1).
Release clamp (2) and detach suction line.

Installation Note:
Replace clamp.

Lay suction line (moulded hose) to one side and seal with adhesive tape.





Release cable ties on pressure line (1).
Expose pressure line.

Installation Note:
Resecure pressure line (1) with cable ties.





Press quick-release fastener (1) in direction of valve block (2).
Pull pressure line (3) out of quick-release fastener (1).
Seal quick-release fastener (1) with adhesive tape.

Installation Note:
Press quick-release fastener (1) in direction of valve block (2) and push in pressure line (3) up to marking.





Unscrew nuts (1).
Tightening torque 37 22 1AZ Pump Unit with Reservoir.
Remove compressor of air supply unit (2).

Installation Note:
Replaces nuts (1) with springs and washers.
