Removing and Installing/Replacing Left or Right Rear Light (from 03/05) (On Rear Lid)

63 21 183 - Removing and installing/replacing left or right rear light (from 03/05) (on rear lid)





Important!
Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection) 61 35 ... Notes on ESD Protection (Electro Static Discharge).





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear trim





Detach trim (1) in area (A) of rear light (2) downwards.
Area (B) of trim (1) remains on vehicle.

Installation Note:
Ensure trim (1) is correctly seated.





Disconnect plug connection (1).
Unscrew nuts (2).

Note:
Secure rear light against falling out.





Unclip rear light (1) and remove.

Installation Note:
If necessary, replace faulty clip (2).
Make sure there is a uniform gap (outer) all round for rear lid.
Make sure sealing frame for rear light is correctly seated; replace sealing frame Replacing Sealing Frame for Left or Right Rear Light (From 03/05) (On Rear Lid) if necessary.





Replacement:
If necessary, remove bulb Service and Repair.
