Left Inlet Camshaft (N62 From 09/03 and N62TU)

11 31 1AZ - Left inlet camshaft bearing cap nuts (N62 from 09/03 and N62TU)





First pass: Lower bearing bracket (1) from above and carefully bring into contact with cylinder head
Second pass: Insert nuts and tighten by hand without play
Third pass: Tighten down nuts from inside to outside
M6 10 Nm
M7 14 Nm
M7-8.8 15 Nm
M8 20 Nm

Important!
Camshaft bearing caps of cylinders 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 must not be mixed up.





Fourth pass: Fit bearing cap R E1 in such a way that marking is legible from inlet side
Final pass: Tighten bearing cap R E1 nuts
M6 10 Nm
M7 14 Nm
M7-8.8 15 Nm
M8 20 Nm
