CAN-Bus

Message Signals, S54

In the control module network, important information is transferred across the bus for the function of the control module.

In the event of implausible or missing messages, a fault is entered in the engine management system. Frequently, the fault must be rectified in the component that caused the fault. The component that caused the fault is a participant in the CAN bus network. This participant can be a control module or also a component connected to the CAN bus (e.g. steering-angle sensor).

Test module description:
When a fault that arose due to problems in network communication is stored, reference is made to the component that caused the fault.
Continue troubleshooting at this equipment attached to the bus.
