Sliding-Visor Damage
Damage to the Sliding Panels (Floating Headliners)
NOTE:
- Damage to the sliding panels usually occurs if there is pressure on or an impact against the trim panels. This presses the trim panel from its guides and damages it.
- If the sliding panels are damaged, inform the customer that impacts to the trim panels (e.g. when cleaning the vehicle) are to be avoided.
Check and repair
NOTE: If the sliding panels are damaged, replacement of the roof panel is required.
Procedure:
- Lower the headlining around the opening of the panorama sunroof.
- Check the position of the rear sliding panel. In the event of a fault, the trim panel is misaligned or twisted. Under certain circumstances, broken-off parts might be found.
- In the event of a fault, remove the entire roof panel and remove both sliding panels.
- The following damage is likely:
Damaged sliding rails on the rear trim panel.
Loose or broken driving lever.
Damaged lugs on the front trim panel.
Damaged rear water drain
- Replace damaged parts.
- Then refit the roof and readjust. Replacing of the roof panel is not required.
