Complaint
Leaning on the centre armrest can lead to cracking noises.

Cause: Front centre armrest.

Repair instruction
Open the cover of the centre armrest.

Remove the two bump stops on the left and right of the button and replace them. See Fig. 1.

NOTE: Lightly grease the new bump stops before installation and only fit in conjunction with shims.

Series solution
For vehicles as of production week 35/2005, modified bump stops are fitted.







Only fit modified bump stops in conjunction with shims.
