Radiator Cooling Fan: Service and Repair

17 11 035 Removing and installing/replacing fan cowl with electric fan (N52, N52K, N53)







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove intake port.
- Automatic only:
Remove front underbody protection.
- E84 only:
Remove pedestrian protection (not for US version)







Automatic only:
Release screw.
Detach cooler (1) for automatic transmission from fan cowl (2).







Unlock connector (1) and remove.
Unclip line (2) from fan cowl.
Detach cable strap (3) from fan cowl.
Release screw.
Unlock catch in direction of arrow.
Remove fan cowl towards top.







NOTE: Reassemble the vehicle.
