41 62 520 - Removing and installing / replacing left or right hinge for rear lid

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear window 51 31 200 Removing and Installing/Replacing Rear Window
- Remove trim for rear window frame at top
- Release roof trim panel in rear area

Refer to the description texts of the KSD CD (FRU 41 62 520) for details of stripping-down and rigging work.





Close rear lid.
Release nuts (1).
Tightening torque 41 62 3AZ [1][2]41 62 Rear Lid.





Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 41 62 1AZ [1][2]41 62 Rear Lid.
Remove hinge (2).






Installation:
Before final assembly, apply sealing compound in areas (1).
Adjust rear lid on the basis of the E91 body gap dimensions .
