33 41 000 Replacing Drive Flange on Left/Right Rear Axle Shaft
33 41 000 - Replacing drive flange on left or right rear axle shaft (on 2-flow exhaust system)
Special tools required:
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove output shaft 33 21 000 Removing and Installing/Replacing Left or Right Output Shaft (on 2-Flow Exhaust System)
- Remove brake disk Removal and Replacement
- Remove pulse generator 34 52 535 Replacing A Rear Pulse Sensor
Important!
Check sensor head and line from pulse generator prior to installation for external damage, replacing if necessary.
Force drive flange with special tools 33 2 116 / 33 2 201, 33 2 160, 33 4 200 and 5 wheel bolts out of wheel bearing.
Note:
Rounded inside edge of special tool 33 2 160 must point to drive flange.
Important!
The wheel bearing is destroyed when the drive flange is removed and cannot be reused!
Replace wheel bearing 33 41 151 Replacing Left or Right Wheel Bearing on Rear Axle Shaft.
Installation:
Install output shaft 33 21 000 Removing and Installing/Replacing Left or Right Output Shaft (on 2-Flow Exhaust System).
Oil drive flange lightly and attach to splines of output shaft.
Draw drive flange into wheel bearing Procedures.
After installation:
- Adjust handbrake Adjustments
