Special tools required:
- 64 1 020 64 1 020 Release Hook





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove cooler box lid Removing and Installing/Replacing Cooler Box Lid (Long Version)





Warning!
When working with adhesive cleaners in enclosed rooms:

Ensure room is well ventilated.





Important!
Observe the following when handling adhesive areas:

The adhesive areas must be dry and free from dust and grease.

After cleaning, do not touch bonding area with bare hands.





Carefully lever out cover (1) with special tool 64 1 020 64 1 020 Release Hook at marked areas.

Disconnect plug connection.

Installation:
Remove coarse adhesive residues from adhesive area of cooler box and degrease with adhesive cleaner (refer to BMW Parts Service).

Make sure button and cover (1) are correctly installed.

Press down cover (1) evenly.
