Removing and Installing Oil Pump

11 41 000 - Removing and installing oil pump (N54)





Special tools required:
- 11 0 300 11 0 300 Plug Mandrel





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove oil sump





Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 11 41 1AZ 11 41 Oil Pump with Strainer and Drive.

Installation:
Replace aluminium screws.

Remove intake pipe (2) in direction of arrow.





Secure oil pump drive gear with special tool 11 0 300 11 0 300 Plug Mandrel to oil pump.

Important!
Release central bolt (2) with special tool 11 0 300 11 0 300 Plug Mandrel only.

Tightening torque 11 41 4AZ 11 41 Oil Pump with Strainer and Drive.





Release screws (2).
Tightening torque 11 41 3AZ 11 41 Oil Pump with Strainer and Drive.





Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 11 41 2AZ 11 41 Oil Pump with Strainer and Drive.

Installation:
Replace aluminium screws.





Pull of drive gear (1) in direction of arrow.

Note:
Timing chain (3) of triangular drive is pressed upwards by chain tensioner.
Do not remove drive gear.

Remove oil pump (2) in direction of arrow.





Installation:
Check spacers (1) for damage and firm seating.
Replace spacers (1) if necessary.

Align twin surface (3) on oil pump (2) to drive gear.

Install oil pump (2).





Assemble engine.
